Could Today Be a Last Day?

Every day we hear stories of personal loss. People who’ve lived tremendous lives and have taken their rest, and those who have left this earth much too soon. I am reminded of the wise words of the inspirational author Og Mandino. He said, “Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight. Extend to them all the care, kindness and understanding you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward. Your life will never be the same again.” It’s a powerful reminder that life can be fleeting, and we just don’t know how much time we’ll have with the people that matter most to us. It’s easy to get caught up in the “busy” and time slips by so quickly. When we greet each day fully present and eager to spread kindness and touch lives in profound and positive ways, it really is transformational. Who can you show kindness and gratitude to this morning? Start there.

Something to Think About

What a powerful thought and a powerful way to go through each day. Put kindness on your to do list. Set aside time each day just to tell at least one person thank you or how much they are loved or appreciated. It’s a difference maker.

Weekly Activity

Change up your to-do list. When you set your intention and schedule for each day, plan time this week to reach out to at least five people who have been instrumental in your life and tell them how much they are appreciated.
